The Challenge -
With obesity on the rise, and everyone busier than ever, people need more convenient ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Nutritious food options need to be quick and easy and right at our fingertips, and available to users who are on the go, using a wide variety of mobile devices.
The Solution -
Smart Meal Colorado asked Akavit to create a brand new mobile web application for iPhones and Androids. This application provides an easy way to find restaurants in Colorado where healthy food options are available. When loading the application through your phone’s web browser, you are immediately given the option to add the app to your home screen as an icon. It not only provides a convenient way to find nearby healthy eating spots (using GPS), but it also highlights the healthiest items on restaurant menus. The app offers easy access to restaurant websites and main phone numbers so you can learn more or quickly make a reservation, and it’s easy to share with your friends through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
The Results -
Within the first 9 days of the app launching, there were more than 22,400 hits, and it’s averaging over 2,200 hits each day! Thanks to Akavit and Smart Meal Colorado, it's convenient, it's fast, it's healthy - it's http://m.smartmealcolorado.com/ (best viewed from your favorite mobile device!).

The Challenge -
As a leader in the field of homeowner association law, HindmanSanchez needed a website that matched their personality while providing insight into the depth and breadth of their knowledge. Like the firm itself, the site had to be easy to work with.
The Solution -
Akavit, Denver's premier digital agency, first gathered consumer insights in order to assess the frustrations, complaints and concerns about the old site. Based on this information, Akavit rebuilt the site from the ground up; including improved architecture, straightforward navigation, and a new creative design. Additionally, the site has enhanced search capabilities that allow users to navigate through the over 500 unique articles, blogs, publications, and newsletters that are used daily by their clients. Built in Drupal 7, the CMS-based site allows not only a more intuitive experience for users, but straightforward content management capabilities for the staff. The Challenge -
For the 2011-12 NFL season, the 49ers and U.S. Bank developed an extensive promotional plan revolving around a Fan Trading Card Builder. U.S. Bank wanted to promote this offer as well as several other offers from their 2011-12 49ers wall calendar in a U.S. Bank centric platform. With multiple promotions occurring throughout the year, U.S. Bank needed a platform that was easy to manage and designed to match their promotion schedule. Additionally, the promotional schedule called for several public and employee-only enter-to-win sweepstakes.
The Solution -
The Denver, CO digital agency, Akavit, was chosen to take on the project of improving the platform for 49ersBanking.com and creating a design experience that engages visitors and supports the 49ers and U.S. Bank co-branded experience. Akavit created a design layout that incorporated the prime sponsorship elements for the upcoming 49ers season and implemented the site on Sitefinity's new 4x CMS platform. Akavit content managers are now able to change out the promotions through the season and download data from the enter-to-win contests efficiently...all without development skills.

Alfson launched the site on Friday, July 22nd at an energy trade event in Santa Fe, NM. The website stole the show and put the oil and gas industry on notice. In August of 2010, Akavit launched the RMHP Wellness site and Employer Pages. This project was designed to function as a resource for health conscious RMHP customers and non-customers alike. The mission of the site is to provide “Tips for Healthier living”. This was partly accomplished by partnering with Fitness Consulting for video content and partly by providing reference material on a number of topics. Each video Channel focuses on a different area of health and well being. Each month a new video is added that focuses on a new health-related topic. In addition to the videos, pertinent info about Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Weight Control, Glucose and Nicotine is offered as a reference.

The site, temporarily turned back time to 1960, with brown & gold theming to match the throwback uniforms. Congratulations to the Broncos for an excellent win, and 50 strong years!

Akavit, working with healthcare marketing specialists O'Brien Advertising, designed and developed the beautiful new mybwmc.org website, based on the Drupal CMS platform. In conjunction with a digital re-branding and the opening of their new labor and delivery center, the new interactive site has launched to the public with much hullabaloo.
Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) embarked upon this project with goals to incorporate health information from many different sources into one central Web site in order to become a community health resource for its doctors, members and prospective members, and to improve Search Engine Optimization with specific and appropriate tags.
Appealing visuals combined with solid SEO best practices, and an integrated health encyclopedia from award-winning health content provider A.D.A.M. in both English and Spanish caused an immediate and ongoing increase in site traffic. Demographics also showed an increase in statewide vs. city-wide visits.

The Denver, Colorado based law firm selected Akavit to design a new Sitefinity CMS ASP.NET-based website that showcases the attorneys in a way that supports the firm's excellent value proposition within its practice areas specialties.
